UBTech has launched the groundbreaking UWORLD U1 Series, claimed to be the first mass-produced full-size ultra-bionic humanoid robots globally. Revealed at UBTech’s 2026 Global Launch Event in Shenzhen on June 30, the platform integrates cutting-edge technology such as biomimetic skin, advanced AI hardware, an emotion-driven large language model (LLM), and streamlined manufacturing processes. UBTech envisions a future of seamless human-robot collaboration, progressing from hazardous tasks to everyday assistance and evolving into intuitive interaction between individuals and intelligent robots.
The UWORLD U1 Series boasts 88 degrees of freedom and an emotion-sensitive LLM capable of recognizing over 20 emotional states accurately. Powered by a dual-pivot biomimetic cervical spine, the humanoid robot mimics up to 90% of human movements. Equipped with an emotion-aware LLM for long-term companionship, the U1 Series combines rapid responses with deep cognitive processing, offering natural communication through precise facial expressions and synchronized speech movements. The platform features an Agent Memory OS for durable interactions, a care engine for context-based responses, and a robust privacy architecture to ensure secure data handling.
In addition to its technical capabilities, UBTech has introduced the Human-Robot Companionship Initiative to provide emotional and psychological support to vulnerable groups through humanoid robots. With an aim to address the increasing need for companionship among individuals, especially in China where millions live alone or as empty-nest seniors, UBTech plans to deploy customized U1 Series robots tailored to offer personalized interaction and extended emotional and psychological support. These robots will employ advanced technologies like 3D facial reconstruction, voiceprint-based identity replication, emotion-driven interaction models, and multimodal situational awareness to improve user recognition, memory retention, and personalized caregiving.
