Financed solely by Adcock’s personal investment of $100 million, Hark aims to build versatile A.I. systems that encompass speech, text, vision, and context, enriched with personalized memory, proactive behavior, and real-time speech capabilities. The company’s hardware development is led by Abidur Chowdhury, a former Apple industrial designer, who envisions a future where interfaces understand users, anticipate needs intelligently, and are capable of executing tasks efficiently.
Hark’s team comprises A.I. experts and engineers poached from leading tech firms, alongside hardware specialists, including former Apple employees involved in product architecture and audio systems. To hasten model development, Hark has teamed up with Nvidia to leverage thousands of GPUs for system pre-training and post-training activities. With a staff of around 45 members, including talent from notable companies like Google, Amazon, and Tesla, Hark anticipates expanding to 100 employees by mid-2026.
In a field teeming with A.I. innovation, Hark is gearing up to launch its first A.I. models this summer, followed by hardware devices tailored around these systems.
