Walking War Robots is a multiplayer shooter with real-time PvP battles that was previously exclusive to Apple device owners but has now become available for Android users. In this game, players engage in thrilling 6 vs. 6 battles reminiscent of Team Fortress, where victory is achieved by either destroying the opponent or holding as many beacons as possible. Players have access to 13 unique combat robots and 19 types of weapons that can be combined to achieve specific properties. While the game features four maps with diverse terrains, players do not have the option to choose a map as they are assigned randomly. Before the battle commences, players have a few seconds to decide which robot to deploy. Although players can control only one robot at a time, they are allowed to take up to five robots into battle and switch them if any robot gets damaged.
Since battles occur in real-time, a continuous and stable internet connection is crucial for gameplay. Each battle lasts no more than 10 minutes but can end sooner if, for instance, all robots of the opposing team are destroyed.
