Unitree’s robots, the G1 and H2 models, made a grand appearance at China’s Spring Festival Gala. The G1 humanoid robots showcased a vibrant and energetic robot cluster Kung Fu performance, while the H2 robots donned the Monkey King’s iconic heavy armor and rode on “somersault clouds” carried by B2W quadruped robot dogs at both Beijing’s main venue and the Yiwu sub-venue. The dazzling display was featured on state television during the Spring Festival Gala, the nation’s most significant TV event held on the eve of the Lunar New Year.
For their performance, twenty-four Unitree G1 robots wowed the audience with a mix of martial arts, parkour, and breakdancing, showcasing synchronized movements, acrobatics, and speed, reaching speeds of up to nine miles per hour. Notably, they executed a “Cluster Cooperative Rapid Scheduling System” to intricately form Chinese characters for “Happy New Year” and the year 2026. The Unitree G1 robots are described as cutting-edge humanoid robots suitable for research, education, and AI development, priced from $13,500. Standing at 127 cm and weighing 35 kg, the G1 features 23 to 43 joints, 3D LiDAR, depth cameras, and a 2-hour battery life.
On the other hand, the H2 robot, launched in October 2025, is a premium platform geared towards advanced research, industrial applications, and human-robot interaction. Standing at 180 cm tall and weighing 70 kg, the H2 boasts 31 degrees of freedom for enhanced mobility, with precise motion control algorithms, joint torques of 360N.m, and dynamic movement replication. The H2 is powered by a 2070 TOPS chip, promoting various intelligent models to support a range of work scenarios, from warehouse operations to service roles and research environments. Supporting Python and C++, with SDK and ROS2 framework compatibility, the H2 is priced at $29,900. An advanced version with support for secondary development is also available.
