AgiBot, a prominent robotics company based in China, has recently unveiled the groundbreaking “Genie Operator-1” (GO-1), the country’s first large model with embodied intelligence. The GO-1 model, which was showcased on AgiBot’s official WeChat account, boasts the ability to learn from humans or videos directly, demonstrating rapid generalization even with limited data. One of the co-founders of AgiBot, Peng Zhihui, hails from Ji’an, Jiangxi Province, and was born in 1993. After completing a master’s degree at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2018, Peng embarked on a career in the AI field, initially joining the AI lab of OPPO Research Institute. His exceptional skills led him to Huawei’s “Top Minds” Program in 2020, where he earned a prestigious annual salary of 2.01 million yuan ($277.84 thousand) for his contributions. In February 2023, Peng departed from Huawei to establish AgiBot, marking a new chapter in his entrepreneurial journey dedicated to driving innovation in AI-infused robotics.
